The sound clips do a reasonable job at demonstrating how aggressive the system sounds, which leaves little room for commentary. Beyond the sound however, subtle design touches are numerous. For instance, all hangers are of the interlocking type. Although more costly than straight steel rod, they help keep the exhaust system in place during heavy cornering.
None of the pipes are cut and welded back together to form bends either. In order to reduce exhaust turbulence through bends, all of the pipes are seamlessly bent using our in-house CNC mandrel bender. The cast cp-e™ flanges, and laser etched stainless placard ensure that onlookers make no mistake about the brand of the exhaust system.
The exhaust features a long 3in diameter section from the stock catalytic converters to the rear differential where the system splits into two 2.5in diameter sections with our custom spec straight through large chamber mufflers. They are positioned in a symmetrical way to give the car an aggressive and balanced look.
The EvoX is an incredibly potent machine, but it is unfortunate that this new redesign did not get a big bump in power output. Well, now you can change that by getting rid of the factory downpipe that is choking the factory turbo.
The cp-e™ downpipe allows the turbo to breathe easier thanks to the generous 3″ 304-stainless steel pathway. The sections are all mandrel bent for only the smoothest transitions, and a generous flex section is included to accommodate motor movement,
which will eliminate crank inducing bending stress. In true cp-e™ fashion this is a true bolt-on part. This downpipe bolts directly to the stock o2 housing leaving the oxygen sensor bung in its stock location, and requires no modifications for installation.
The cp-e™ QuickPower™ Pipe represents one of the quickest and easiest power upgrades available for the EvoX. Turbos perform more efficiently when they can breathe, so help it out by replacing the restrictive factory cat pipe!
The QuickPower™ Pipe is a small exhaust section that is designed to replace the more restrictive factory catalyst pipe. This upgrade is good for a modest increase in power, and also makes exhaust note a touch more aggressive.
The QuickPower™ Pipe is constructed solely from 304-stainless steel for superior strength and corrosion resistance, and retains the slight bend in the center for stock-like fitment. It also proudly wears the cp-e™ logos both on the laser cut stainless placard and on the cast 3/8” stainless steel flanges.
The QuickPower™ Pipe may be purchased with or without a replacement high-flow catalyst.
The SpeedCircuit Hotpipe (Upper Intercooler Pipe) is a single piece 2.5″ mandrel bent 304 stainless steel pipe (instead of cheap aluminum or steel that some competitors use to save money). Rather than slimming down the diameter halfway through the pipe like the factory part, our part remains at 2.5″ the whole length of the pipe!
Benefits of this pipe include:
-Improved throttle response
-Small power gain
-No more stock hotpipe expanding under boost
-Smoother power at the top of the RPM range
-Replacement of stock rubber hose which allows you to mount BOV flanges and other accessories and bungs.
-A show-quality piece to set your engine bay apart from the crowd.
-The fastest, easiest install hotpipe on the market today.
-A part that will last the lifetime of the car.
-Silicone hose couplers available in Black, Blue, and Red!
Additional options include
-Weld-on BOV flanges for Greddy Type S/RS and HKS SSQ-V
-T-Bolt clamps for a superior clamping strength. We STRONGLY recommend this upgrade rather than using your stock clamps!
-Powder coated the color of your choice
-You can also choose to do multiple types of finishes. For example, you could do a polished finish, and on top we can do a black chrome powder coat over it which will tint the polished pipe black. Many options are available for finishing.
