Hey man great ride. Just had a question for you. Your wheels are perfectly "spaced" and was wondering how you got the look. All you have to do is get wheel spacer's? I read on your page you have 10mm front spacer's and 5mm rear right? I really want that look and was going to buy 25mm spacer's. Now your making me think that would be too much. Anyways I would really appreciate if you got back to me on this. Car looks great man, good job. Peace

the guy who was saying this isnt an sti is stupid. just because it doesnt have sti splitters or sti hood scoop doesnt mean its not an sti. all the parts are interchangeable. and look. it has brembos. no one is going to lie about this. and it has a wrx hood scoop because of the front mount. stop assuming things and learn to recognize an sti when you see one

We just installed one of these exhausts on a customer car.

For the price, it's horrible. They use Mild Steel nuts for 02 bungs on stainless piping, mild steel THIN (around 1/4") flanges, one vibrant bend, a parts store slip-clamp, and a muffler that can be had for under $40 on ebay. For $689??

We also had to modify it to get it to stop rubbing on the tunnel and on the bumper.

I wouldn't recommend this exhaust to my worst enemy.

This is the specs on the wheels...

-Work 17×9 cr kai [gunmetal] (+34f/+39 r)
-255/40/17 falken RT 615

Most wheel shops online will carry them or can get them for you. I would check Subaru forums for group buys first because you may be able to save yourself some money - there're not cheap.

If you choose another exhaust system over this your out of your mind! Yes it may be a little bit pricey but damn it's worth every penny. I had to do things I would rather not discuss to buy this but I would do it all over again :)

I got mine on my car recently and I am loving it. Fitment was spot on, sound is just what I wanted and it looks sexy with black tips.

I got the single resonator so it is quite loud but at highway speeds I'm actually surprised how little drone there is, relatively speaking.

I don't mind drone so that was never a factor for me, but I think this will surprise people. The only time there is real drone is right around 3k... but anyone with an X knows that at highway speeds you will always be above 3k and with the windows up you just hear a nice growl in the background.

Oh, and drive this baby through a tunnel... will certainly put a smile on your face.

I am happy with my Speed Circuit UICP the build quality and fitment is great. Spool up comes in about 400 RPM's quicker now and feels good.

I think just about all UICP pipes that are the same diameter will perform the same. The two piece design should allow more freedom for engine movement under acceleration.

Yes, I can't wait for mine to get here. This is by far the best sounding exhaust on the market right now hands down. I am getting one resonator so it's not wicked loud but still let's you know I'm not playing around!

I have this exhaust and it's f'ing sweet. I love the look of the carbon muffler and it's holding up just fine. I have had it for about 10 months now and it still looks new. I get positive comments all the time and everyone thinks it's JDM. I'm not into the whole JDM thing but here in CA it's the cool thing to do, lol.

I have the Ultimate Racing and it's awesome, I couldn't be happier. It fit great and I didn't have any install problems. I hear a lot of people say they have problems with the tips not lining up with other exhausts.

I can feel a more kick in the butt when I hit the gas and for 750.00 it was a good buy - 2 thumbs up.

Exhaust sounds good like you said but I don't know about the carbon fiber muffler. I mean it looks good but is it wrapped on real carbon fiber. I find it hard to believe that it's real carbon which makes me wonder if it's going to fall apart.

I also have heard terrible things about turbochargers.com so

Cobb AccessPort has to be the best mod for the EVO X hands down. What else can you buy for 600.00 - 700.00 hundred dollars and gain about 40whp with an OTS map to the wheels?

Not to mention you have all the other functions such as data logging, dyno, quarter mile times and more. I now have the Cobb AP, Cobb pipe kit and Cobb springs - Cobbed to death!

I have these springs as well as other Cobb parts. It's what I expected which includes a better looking stance but not to low, stiffer ride but not to harsh and better handling.

I was debating getting these and the Swift springs but went with Cobb in the end because they have great customer service and my other parts are of high quality.

Perrin makes great stuff. I bought the catback and downpipe for my boyfriend for Christmas. The install was easy and the tips lined up perfect unlike stories I have heard about other exhaust systems.

The sound is nice and deep. I really didn't want to ride in a 40k dollar car that sounded like a 15k dollar Civic so it scores well in my book. I also scored so points with the BF so thanks Perrin!

Does anyone have this exhaust? The exhaust sounds and looks good in the video but I want some real user reviews. I have heard bad things about turbochargers.com who is the only vendor I could find that carries it. I like the single exit carbon muffler but I want to make sure I don't get ripped off by turbochargers.com.

Thanks

Great customer service and the exhaust arrived well packaged. It was exactly what I expected and sounds better in person. Butt dyno says 10 - 15 whp but it's been know to lie. I would guess it's on par with any other catback.

Buschur had one of the first exhaust systems out for the EVO X so it's not going to be perfect. They focus on building parts that free up power and that's what this exhaust does.

If you are looking for a quite exhaust with perfect build quality this may not be for you. I'm not saying it's going to fall apart but there are other exhaust options that look pretty if that's what you want.

The new O2 downpipe combo looks awesome. It's cast so you don't have to worry about it cracking or welds busting loose. I prefer the dual version of this exhaust but the single does save some weight.

Love how the mufflers are tucked up nice and won't drag like other exhaust systems. Sounds nice and deep which is why I ordered it with the test pipe. You hippies who will cry about the test pipe should have never bought an EVO X in the first place!

I'm happy with the quality of mine and love the sound. I haven't had any problems with hitting the muffler and I'm lowered on Swift springs. There are more and more exhausts hitting the market for the EVO 10. They should only get better as manufacturers learn more about this beast!

I’m going to have to agree with you. There are much better options out there for just about the same price. The muffler sits very low and how the exhaust connects leaves more to desire.

Just got mine in the mail and within 10 minutes I was reflashed (stage 1 93 octane) and pulling out into traffic. Initial impressions in low rpm's was that the turbo spools somewhat lower, maybe around 2500-3500....rather than 500+ rpms higher before.

On the highway at full throttle and through the first three or four gears, the car is night and day difference. I come from an S2000 that had a very strong feel from vtec all the way to redline...the pre flash evo felt the opposite, like it was gasping for air beyond 5500 rpm.

The car now screams through the rpm range, and has significantly more pull in the upper gears. Fifth gear now at 65 mph is a passing gear if you want it to be (5sp manual tranny). The first two gears make full throttle blasts require full attention and the car leaps forward. When stock, I felt like the power was good, but not enough to really jerk the car around and give torque steer.

Verdict, beast. I've never had such a cheap mod on any car have such a drastic effect. ECU tuning is clearly the first mod anyone should make IMHO.

Just got mine in the mail and within 10 minutes I was reflashed (stage 1 93 octane) and pulling out into traffic. Initial impressions in low rpm’s was that the turbo spools somewhat lower, maybe around 2500-3500….rather than 500+ rpms higher before.

On the highway at full throttle and through the first three or four gears, the car is night and day difference. I come from an S2000 that had a very strong feel from vtec all the way to redline…the pre flash evo felt the opposite, like it was gasping for air beyond 5500 rpm.

I’ve never had such a cheap mod on any car have such a drastic effect. ECU tuning is clearly the first mod anyone should make IMHO.

Good looking car but the one thing I don't understand is why right hand drive? I don't think I could get use to left hand shifting.

I just got this exhaust put on recently and the build is very nice with the polished tips. The install was very easy and straight forward, but the only thing I had to do was trim 3 threads off of one of the bolts because it kind of contacts the midpipe when screwed in. It barely touches, but I'm trying to be on the safe side and not have it touch at all.

My right tip looks like it sticks out further then my left tip, but it is not noticeable, it is very subtle, its just that I am meticulous about things. Both tips are equal in length because I measured them to make sure that they didn't weld a longer tip of some sort. With that in mind, I do not know why it sticks out further, but overall this exhaust is great.

Its not too loud and you can have conversations in the car with no drone. It sounds like the stock exhaust minus the muffler part, but a bit deeper with a bit more growl. I really like this exhaust and recommend this to anyone.

Dear Rich,

Please tell me where you live so I can come steal your car. I have been looking for a clean GD for some time. It's hard to find one that doesn't have a giant wing because I'm to lazy to pull that off.

Yours Truly,
Debo
